- 1)Dendritic cell vaccine therapy (DC vaccine therapy)
- Dendritic cells are immunocytes that serve the function of notifying T lymphocytes (CTL) of cancer markers (cancer antigen) and commending them to fight via Antigen Presentation. By means of strengthening dendritic cells as a command tower in the war against cancer and activating CTL, dendritic cell vaccine therapy purports to attack cancer cells intensively.
- 2)NK cell therapy
- NK cell therapy is a treatment method in which NK cells, accounted for 10% more or less of lymphocytes, are activated, proliferated and injected back into the body. NK cells are immunocytes that can destroy all abnormal cells, including cancer cells, even when cancer cells hide their marker (cancer antigen) or have combined with antibodies. It is also reported that with support from certain antibody-based drugs like Trastuzumab, Rituximab and Cetuximab, NK cell therapy can be more competent in killing cancer cells.
- 3)γδT cell therapy
- γδT cell therapy is a treatment method, in accordance to which γδT cells, accounted for several percent of T lymphocytes, are activated, proliferated and injected back into the body. γδT cells are immunocytes that can destroy all abnormal cells, especially when using Zoledronic acid to pre-treat bone tumor or metastasis. Therefore, better treatment results can be expected when implementing γδT cell therapy in conjunction with Zoledronic acid.
- 4)αβT cell therapy
- T lymphocytes are one of the most powerful cancer-killing cells. As immunocytes that can not only take down all abnormal cells, but also refine immunocyte’s functions, αβT cells approximately compose 90% of T lymphocytes that have been instilled into the body following activation and proliferation. Such a therapy has been recently deployed to restore the immune system after anti-cancer medication and prevent postoperative recurrence.
- 5)CTL therapy
- CTL therapy is a method of treatment that is to make T lymphocytes memorize the characteristics of a patient’s own cancer cells, and increase the number of cancer-killing immunocytes (cytotoxic T cell=CTL) by injection. Once understanding the patient’s cancer status from ascitic fluid or hydrothorax, this therapy can be put into effect.
